: Your problem may be swapped vacuum lines from the dual distributor. Check this routing: one hose should run from the carb base to the outboard nipple on the vacuum advance unit (advance). The other line should run from the intake manifold to the inboard nipple (retard). If the vacuum advance line is connected to the intake manifold, rather than the carb base, you will get great power up to about 1000 rpm. Above that, you will feel the engine holding back. Be sure the lines are not cracked. Hope that helps.

That helps alittle, but, here is another problem, i am not sure who all knows this, but, the 73 mav, had the one made up to march 15, and then, all the ones after that, i unforntantly, have the one before march 15, which makes the emission/vacumm system especailly rare( it is a TAV system). I will make sure that those 2 lines are correct, but, there are so many other lines, that i have to figure out, so please, any other help would be appreciated. Thanks..
