: I`ve seen 2 different cars with 351w installation niether had modified shock towers! ONE (76 comet) had exhaust manifolds,the drivers side manifold had to be ground slightly for clearance. The other car was a 71or72 comet,it had headers but it was at a car show and I never could find the cars owner. TOTAL PERFORMANCE makes headers for 351w mavericks that don`t require any mods. to the car, they have 1and 1/2"tubes so if you aren`t building a really hot engine they should be just fine. IF it`s gonna be a street car I think "DON`T CUT"! If a race car "cut it"
