Check this link out for body parts.

Or check your local salvage yard. Fixing someone elses bodywork can be tough.

Stick with FORD Type F trans fluid. Less than $2 at local parts store(MD). I learned my lesson with "new" fluid in my Power steering unit.
As for oil, I use Castrol 10/40, and substitute 1/2 quart with Marvel Mystery Oil.
Synthetics don't seen worth the buckos if you change every 3000 and are not racing.

: I just bought a '72 Maverick and I am looking for advise on a couple
: of things.First, I need to repair some dents in the front fenders, but
: the dents are on top of older repair work. Do I need to remove 100%
: of the old Bondo before hammering and filling the dents, or just the cracked areas?
: Second, what is the BEST transmission fluid and motor oil (brand and type) to use.
: Multipurpose ATF (claims to be compatible with C-4) or specific type F?
: Mobil 1 was recommended to me for motor oil. Should I be concerned about using synthetic oil?
: I have zero info from the previous owners about what was used.
: The motor is a 200.

: p.s. I am thrilled to find such dedicated support for the Maverick online!
