WHAT? You disagree? Well we all hate you now (LOL)... : )

: Your problem Ben is rusted cowl vents. i covered this subject previously on this board somewhere. Look for a response titled: "Cowl Vents 101".

: This is not an easy problem to fix, but an easy one to avoid. You can: 1)Keep using the ice cream buckets. 2) Never get your car in the rain. or 3) figure out a way to close off the vents in front of the windshield to keep water out of there.

: good luck.

: : If it only happens when it rains, then it probably isn't the heater core.

: : : : Sounds like a heater core prob... you can by pass it (as a temporary fix) but to be honest if it's been leaking for a while I would replace it ASAP... When we did it on Alice I also had the cooling system flushed and checked.

: : : Thanks for the tips. The winshield gasket is a little worn and cracked but i thought it was
: : : still holding. It was leaking alot of water and it didn't look like that much could get in through the
: : : winshield. I collect about 1/4 gallon (those ice cream buckets come in handy) each time it rains. I'll check out the heater
: : : core and see if thats the problem. Guess it probably wouldn't hurt to change the windshield gasket either.
: : : Again thanks for the help.
