Ron,

I just knew you'd be the man for the job! I'll email you with my request later on! Thanks so much for this info!!!!!!
Sam :)

: Ford produced it for "us" (the Master Parts Catalog, to which I have access on a 'time permitting' basis). The spring listing is about three pages long (8.5x11 front and back) and I'm not about to write it out...maybe you could narrow your(my) search down a little...do you mean Mav/Comet springs only? Feel free to Email me with your "requests".
: BTW, I'm not all THAT smart, I just know where to find the info from my 20+ year infatuation(affliction?) with Mavericks/Comets and other assorted 'Blue Oval' products. Currently in the driveway (or garage):'65 F100 Camper Special (CA lic.= R DYNASR), '66 Mustang Coupe, '73 Maverick 2dr (the "Hot Rod"), '74 Maverick Grabber (the "Grabber"), and my wife's "truck" ('90 Nissan King Cab).

: : I just read a good piece of detective work on here as far as understanding the meaning of all those rear-end codes. Now lets see if some smart person can come up with some front spring codes as well. Recently I was looking at a pair of front springs that came out of a '72 comet six cylinder, and noticed that there were peach or orange colored paint daubs on each of the coils. Thinking back, I recall different colors on other springs that I've seen in the past. I know that the different colors indicate a differt spring rate / application. Can anybody produce a list of these color codes?
