I don't know what transmission shops you are calling, but the C-4 for a 6 cyl is DIFFERENT than the V-8 version. The V-8 version has additional clutches and bands (I'm not sure which ones), and it cost me $50 to have my out of the car C-4 changed over from a 6 cyl to a V-8 version. Please, somebody else confirm this for me and lets put this bug to bed.
