I have a factory set up in my 77 parts car which will end up in my other 77. They were part of a convenience lighting option which included a glove box light, hood light, trunk light, ash try light & over head map lights incorporated into the dome light. The wiring harness plugs up the glove box light, trunklight, & map/dome lights. The standard wiring in the car already has a plug for the ash tray light. The hood light is a single wire harness with a fusable link which hooks to the battery side of the starter solinoid. I didnt check them out before i pulled them but it appears that the hood and trunk light stay on all the time.
