Not only did I buy one, but I bought it NEW!!! I really like the car, but it had no heat...I mean NONE!! I even had higher thermostats put in, put cardboard in front of the radiator...no help.

Anyways, back to the topic on hand. You can buy wrecked Festivas all day long around here for less thjan $500...there are several places that sell "rebuilders". You can either buy one of these, and use the parts from yours to fix it up, or use the parts/motor from it to fix yours. Either way, you get one running car and one parts car.

As old as that car is you might not want to put any money into it. (But then again, that's what they used to say about Mavericks!!)

==========================================
: I have this 89 Ford Festiva. The timing chain broke and the valve subsequently bent when they came into contact with the piston. Should I
: a) Rebuild the engine as a second car?
: b) Get 25 for scrap or 100$ trade for a inline 250 for my maverick?
: c) Fix it up and sell it to some poor soul and buy the inline 250 anyway
: plus headers and maybe a two-barrel?

: The third one I have a moral dillemma about. But hey someone pawned it off on me right?
