Do I want to know how? -CP

: Not only did I buy one, but I bought it NEW!!! I really like the car, but it had no heat...I mean NONE!! I even had higher thermostats put in, put cardboard in front of the radiator...no help.

: Anyways, back to the topic on hand. You can buy wrecked Festivas all day long around here for less thjan $500...there are several places that sell "rebuilders". You can either buy one of these, and use the parts from yours to fix it up, or use the parts/motor from it to fix yours. Either way, you get one running car and one parts car.

: As old as that car is you might not want to put any money into it. (But then again, that's what they used to say about Mavericks!!)

: ==========================================
: : I have this 89 Ford Festiva. The timing chain broke and the valve subsequently bent when they came into contact with the piston. Should I
: : a) Rebuild the engine as a second car?
: : b) Get 25 for scrap or 100$ trade for a inline 250 for my maverick?
: : c) Fix it up and sell it to some poor soul and buy the inline 250 anyway
: : plus headers and maybe a two-barrel?

: : The third one I have a moral dillemma about. But hey someone pawned it off on me right?
