Could be two things- A short in the wiring or an internally broken instrument cluster (so that the dashboard light enters with your headlights on). Take the cluster out and check it first, that's a whole lot easier than wiring problems. -CP
: the left hand signal light on the dashboard of my 72 seems to be lit up without the directional being on. the outside lights don't appear to be on though. i notice this at night when i am driving around with my headlights on. any ideas why it is lit?
