: : I have just happened across a copy of a Ford manual for converting the Boss 302 car for Trans -Am racing. It explains how to change the front suspension (among other things) for better handling. Will these modifications work on the Mavericks? If they will, I can scan them in and let someone post them for everyone to use. Russ
: in the Boss 302 modification article it says to lower the upper a-frames by adimension of 1 inch. I do not think this is the correct measurement for a Mav chassis. The whole idea is to minimize camber change and toe change across all the suspension travel. I remember reading in an old drag mag article about Bruce Sizemore's haulin' H/MP six cylinder Maverick that he plotted the front suspension travel and determined that the a-frames should only be lowered 3/4 inch. So that is why I used that dimension when I did mine.
