i just had the fluid and filter changed in my c3 250 cause i had a MAJOR leak from my tranny. it ended up my gasket, front and rear seals, and the modulator were all leaking. my mechanic changed the fluid and filter, (some WEIRD shit was on the filter, which he says shouldnt be in a transmission) and then we added some transmedic. my modulator is still leaking, though i had been having some problems with it before, but everything else is ok. it was slipping a few days ago, but i added a half a quart of fluid (my mechanic only put 3 quarts in, but my tranny holds 4) and now its ok. mine has almost 160,000 miles on it...
: : : I recently took my car in and had the Transmission fluid changed and it has been slipping ever since going into drive from start up and also slips going into second gear then catches. The weird thing is if I shift it manually into first and then second it's fine, just when I go into drive it acts up slips and then catches makek a loud noise too. My question is what transmission is used in the 1975 model with the 250 eng, and are there any bands or adjustments that can be made to fix the slipping. Any helpful hints or suggestions on how to fix the slipping into gears on my 75 only has 80,000 miles. Shifter is on the column and does not act up in reverse or when it is in 3rd cruising.
