As for the alternator light??? Is it getting brighter as the RPMs go up? If so, it's probably a loose belt. They don't have to scream like most do to be loose. Mine did this, and eventually the battery died. Also might check the voltage regulator. If it isn't working right, it will try to over change the battery. Light might come on.
