I am running Hedman headers.I paid $89 plus tax and I am very happy with them.I also have a 70 with 302, you can install them with the engine in or out.If the engine is in the car and you are using manual steering then they should go in very easy and quickly, but you will have to jack the front of the car up quite a bit because they will need to go in from under the car.If you are using power steering then I would suggest buying the headers and put them on before installing the engine in the car. Also , use premium gaskets and also use lock washers on all the bolts.I did this and haven't had any leaks so far.By the way , when using hedman headers you will need to convert to a floor shifter for your trans., and they also do not work with a manual trans. only auto. That is why alot of people go with the Hooker headers because it seems to be less hassle, but if you are willing to do the work get the hedman and you will be happy along with having a little money left over (vrs Hooker headers).
