"NEVER" use a plastic fuel filter. It's one of the easiest ways to have a engine fire. If your want to race your car, a plastic fuel filter will always keep you off the track, NHRA RULES! The money you save not buying a metal one may cost of a lot more then a few bucks.
: : if yours is stopped up or whatever, replace it, but a real inline fuel filter is recommended. The factory and replacement filters are nothing more than a metal screen. Get a good inline filter, preferably the clear plastic kind, you can see when the filter starts getting cruddy, plus they are generally much better than stock.
