I don't think she was planning on racing the car.. and plastic filters are fine for the street if you keep them away from exhaust, they don't have a lower burst strength than stamped steel versions. I run a metal filter and I think they look better but if you aren't sure about the cleanliness of you gas and just want to see whats going on they are great. 90% of imports & most chryslers use platic-cased fuel filters. -CP
