Well, I have never driven a stock Maverick with an auto trans (you didn't mention the engine), but it could be because of drag in the driveline or low power, a vaccuum leak or a poor running engine would need more gas to get the Mav moving, if you really want it to move like that upping the idle should do the trick. -CP
