Hey toocs, I think you misunderstood. I'd get rid of the 8.8 and get an 8. I'm using an 8" with 3.55s. I'm still getting up all my "stuff" before I do the engine swap.To use that 8.8 you'll have to cut all the brackets that are not needed for the leaf spring setup, then weld spring perches on the axel tubes. Will e-brake cables work? Is the yoke the right size? Isn't it 4 lug??? Simply put the 8" makes more sence but its your car. I think you may have measured wrong on those shock towers. The 351W is only a couple of "s wider than a 302. Bill
