Sunday I started to put my big cam in, then low and behold...
2 cam bearings came out with my old cam. The 302 is now history as I have
a reason to get off my ass and yank it out now. I am working a deal out
for a 4 bbl. Cleveland and should have it by this weekend. I should (with
any luck, and I'm short on it...) have my shock towers notched this coming
Saturday. I'm having as much meat as possible cut out. Let's see, I think
I'll have to ditch the power steering (a good thing) and use a floor shift,
that about sum it up? I also gutted the bumber and mount already (I think
that knocked 80 pounds off the front), and will have the battery in the
trunk tomorrow night if I get the parts in time. Will I have to use
custom headers with the towers notched, or will the stock manifolds work
for now? I'm hoping they will for a few months, but if not I'll order a
set of headers from Total Performace, and who else has them? I need to
get Total Performance's email addy and or phone number also if anybody
has it. I'm drooling already. I bet my stock 2.75 8 inch will die a ungodly
dealth soon, so I'll have to find the proper 9 inch I guess...
