my cousin has it in his pretty stock 289, its in a 68 fairlane, a little heavier than a mav I believe, he has virtually no loss in low end, it does very well in his 289. It was stock otherwise for a year or two after the cam install, he's got 4bbls and gears now. The torque loss would be more pronounced in the smaller engine, and its not much of a loss at all, so...
: Is anyone here using an Edlebrock Performer(not the RPM cam) cam in their 302, and using an automatic trans.?Does it have a strong bottom end?I am using 3.00:1 gears and I am afraid to go too big and sacrifice bottom end torque.Any input please.
