Jason, the prices seem average but do you need all of that. What performance gains are you expecting from the MSD ignition? Does the cost warrant the gain in performance? What I'm trying to say is consider how the components you are installing will "work" with the existing components. Would a tune-up with factory replacement parts result in similar performance gains without the cost? When I first started building motors my biggest mistake was mis-matching parts. For example, cams that were way to big for the application. Consider saving your money and building a second motor while the current one is still running. With the help of some experienced Ford motorheads you could build a well designed motor with good performance. In addition, 302's are inexpensive to build. Now that I'm older, not necessarily wiser, I have found that with careful selection of the right components you can spend a little and get a lot. Just a little food for thought!
