Yes, it is true that there are a lot of rip off Technicians in the world. However, there are honest technicians out there. I count myself as an honest technician. Could I rip people off, sure, but the truth is if you inspect a vehicle fully, chances are you will find something wrong. Vehicle Manufactures build cars so they will last 5 to 7 years. Why? The all mighty dollar. Which In my modest opionin is the root of all evil. :) The fact of the matter is Mavericks are a easy to work on. Trust yourself, and it sounds like Terry is knowledgable and honest. I know that you are upset with how you have been treated, but please remember our job is not getting any easier. Cars are being updated so rapidly that it is hard to keep up on training. Even honest techicians will make a misdiagnosis from time to time. I always say when in doubt get a second opinion. It would seem you already learned that lesson:) Good luck and I hope you get your Mav(s) fixed and enjoy driving Mavs as much as I do :)
