I dont have a tube strait to the carb. (I'm blonde, but not that blonde) To dangerous, what with bugs, rocks, and rain. I was just wondering. Is that how it is supposed to be done, running a tube to the air intake before the filter or do I buy something that replaces the airfilter, like maybe a horizontal filter that the scoop would blow on. I imagine that would get the most fresh air to the carb. This probobly sounds stupid but I'm still learning. Also would it be better to have the opening forward, toward the wind, or back toward the windshield. Someone was talking about there being negative pressure somewhere on the hood and then there is the pressure around the windshield.

Thanks
Rudy D

BTW. All it takes to get women in a mav is a smile :o)
