: Well I think the Grabber is going to become a trailer queen after the Round Up and I would like to build up the motor more. Right now it is mostly stock; 302 block bored .010 over, Hyportruetic pistons, stock rods, balance when rebuilt, meling high flow oil pump, '69 351W heads stock valves with 3 angle valve job, stock springs, no porting, Edlebrock 289 performer intake, edlebrock 600cfm w/mechanical secondaries, MSD 6A ignition, Ford electronic distributor, MSD coil, Ford Motorsport 13" air cleaner(going to put in a K&N filter). My question is what cam(lift and duration) will give me the most power with drivability(short trips) with my curent set up? I will be putting in roller rockers with the cam change but everything eles will stay the same. Also if you have a manufacture that your recomending add a price and if they come with hydrolic lifters or not. Currently the stock cam(lift and duration) makes good power now but not through you into the seat kind of power, I know gears will help but I've put in 3.40's and it did not make that much of a differance. Any help with cam choices and why will be greatly apriciated. Thanks Todd.
Don't know on the cam selection, but if you find something out, please let me know!!! If I were you, unless you already have the Intake, I'd go with either the Air-gap, RPM, or I've heard good things about the Weiand someething or other. I personally plan to swap my 289 performer to the Air-gap, and also go with roller rockers. Just need to find the money, and figure out which valve covers to go with. If you find a good set of tall 351 valve covers, PLEASE let me know!
