:your torque convertor probably isn't in all the way, it has three positions it has to line up way to be in all the way, pump, and two shafts, don't install that trans until they're all in, just keep rotating and wiggling the convertor until you get it in all the way. If you're still not sure just run it down to a trans shop and they'll install the convertor in the trans for you, it only takes a minute, just has to be exactly right. also another trick is to get two, 3" long bolts, cut the hex head off and use them as guide bolts to help start the trans to the block,


My brother and I pulled the tranny from my I 6 200 Mav 1970 and got a good running tranny off of a 1973 Mustang. Both were C4s . Ok guys we swapped out the bell housings and this should have been a direct bolt in right but, we can’t ssem to get it past that last 1/4 to one half inch. Any ideas or halp, pointer sould be greatly appreciated. By the way I would give a couple of fingers for a tranny jack. LOL.
