In considering my engine swap, is there a tube type header that I can use with a 351W that will fit in my 73 four door without chopping the shock towers?
Weight:
From http/triumph.cs.utah.edu/tech/engine.html I have found the following:
FORD 170-250 weight = 385 pounds (what I have now)
289-302 weight = 460 pounds (+75)
352 Windsor weight = 510 pounds (+125pounds)
Not to mention the extra weight in the cooling system, I'll bet I could use new springs.
Any suggestions?
Can I get away with the drum brakes? Does anybody make good metalic shoes like those that LAKEWOOD made in the 70's.
Thanks
