Don't get SMART Ricky...there are too many people here who THINK they know something when they are in fact CLUELESS...In 1974 when disc brakes were OPTIONAL on Ford Mavericks, the brake fluid WAS NOT regulated to the discs...the SAME junction block was used...it was the FIRST year that discs were offered on these cars so it was a transisional model year. And you CANNOT "take one apart" because they are sealed...they do not come apart. And as far as it being "scary" if you do not change the Prop-valve; that's KRAP...MY car stops better than it EVER did with the original drum setup--there is nothing scary about it...
: Gee, maybe you need to take one apart sometime. Maybe your Mummingbird ass can figure out what your alligator mouth is talking about. Then why tell someone to change it anyway. How is the fluid regulated to the disc brakes first? Magic maybe???

: : : Willie; use the disc brake j-block. If you use the drum block, the rear brakes will have nearly no effect, as they will not have the volumn of fluid they need to work with the new master cylinder and disc brakes. When I changed my brakes over, I used the same block, and had a fairly scarry ride, especially in the rain. Hope this helps,
