I could have swore that the Maverick rear was a 52 inch, not 54. The 65-66 Mustangs also had the same width rear as the Mavericks and they are 52's I believe. The 54 was used on the 67-68 Mustang/Cougar (other Fords as well, but which ones?). All I can say is measure the rear to be sure. But again, I doubt they are 54.
