I went to the junkyard to scrounge parts for my manual drum to power disc swap. I got the following off a 1975 4dr mav: brake pedal assembly, angled bracket that booster mounts to, prop. valve :), and the strut brace to allow all that stuff to fit.
Now, I did not take the booster, nor the master cylinder. I did notice that the pushrod was very long to accomodate the extra bracket, I tried to separate it from the booster but had no luck.
My question is, do I need to go back and get that booster and Master cyl. or can I use one from another Ford? Does the pushrod separate from the booster at all?
This particular booster and master cyl didn't look all that great, so I didn't want to get it unless I had no other choice. Any help appreciated,
Thanks
Inshan
