If you're going to a Power setup the Power Booster may come in handy if you can't find a new/rebuilt one. That one can be rebult, there is a company that does it. The master cyl. depends on how much they want for it. Core might only be $5, call a parts store first. They are seperate units and can be unbolted from each other.
If you go to manual brakes you'll have to cheange to a manual brake pedal because the pedal ratio is different then the Power ones. The new Manual master cyl will have a rod with it, so not to worry. Also use new hoses, and flush the brake lines

: I went to the junkyard to scrounge parts for my manual drum to power disc swap. I got the following off a 1975 4dr mav: brake pedal assembly, angled bracket that booster mounts to, prop. valve :), and the strut brace to allow all that stuff to fit.
: Now, I did not take the booster, nor the master cylinder. I did notice that the pushrod was very long to accomodate the extra bracket, I tried to separate it from the booster but had no luck.
: My question is, do I need to go back and get that booster and Master cyl. or can I use one from another Ford? Does the pushrod separate from the booster at all?
: This particular booster and master cyl didn't look all that great, so I didn't want to get it unless I had no other choice. Any help appreciated,
: Thanks
