Experience with my Comet is as follows.Using a thermostat of 185, a new 3 core radiator and long tube headers and a thermo fan from the Bronco/Ranger,the temp. will run at thermotat with the ambient around 85-90 and still stay cool well into the 90's.
If pushing a little power when its warmer, the temp will start to climb but not to the overheating point.
I feel that the headers close up a lot of the air escape path and limits the efectiveness of the fan.
I am changing to shorty headers and will prove weather they are a factor later in the warm weather.
