All the parts needed to put a 302 in a maverick are the same parts needed to put a 302 in. (as far as frame mounts etc.)
I notched my shock towers, thats the only difference between installing a 302 or a 351. You will nead a front sump oil pan which is now readily available.
I would say the cost of a little welding and fabrication is much cheaper than a stroker kit. Of course if you want the expense of a stroker kit, stroke your 351 to a 435.

It might actually be easier to change plugs on my 351 than it is on a 302.
Weight between a stock 302 or a 351w with an aluminum intake actually is not that far off.
