I hit the brakes hard on my '72 302 Grabber to keep from slamming into an errant Volvo and the left shock tower split near the upper a-arm mount.
Apparently a common problem for V8 Mavericks and Mustangs.
As a word of advice, it is WAY cheaper to weld reinforcements BEFORE it breaks.
