I use an assortment of sockets and extentions, with a pivoting head ratchet. Also, a piece of hose that grips the end of the plug so you can spin it in and out without the bulk of a socket works well for me, and my mav has the hoist hooks. As for the canisters, I believe they are emissions filters or something, and mine seems to work without them. Good Luck!
