: I'm looking for the bar that goes on the trunk lid to make it raise by itself. it attaches to the inside of the trunk and to the lid hinges to make it real light and bouncy. also, i need a new carburator, even though i cant spell it. its a 1969/70 ford maverick. PLEASE HELP!!

hey lori,
dont mean to be a smart aleck. a carburetor is supposed to suck (air and fuel) but if yours isnt sucking the hard enough, i would think any autozone or reputable parts supplier can easily hook you up.
just remove your old carb and take it to the parts place for cross reference. you will have to give them your old carb for a core anyhow. i would think your carb will be on their parts shelf.
as for you trunk springs... youll just have to find one in a junkyard.
it shouldnt be too difficult

good luck
