After a little investigating I found out that this is a model 435, 3 speed with overdrive. Not the super bargain I thought but still a neat trans for my 6 cyl 71 till I built it up.
: I scored a perfectly good toploader today at the junkyard for an amazing sum of $50. Obviously they just thought it was another stantard transmission and I didn't discourage their train of thought. It was just laying on the ground next to a Bronco that I was getting parts off of. Anyway, the number on the tail shaft is as follows:
: RF-D7DR-7A040-AA
: There is a tag on the front part that goes as follows:
: RUG CL LB11
: D8UREA 0147
: So the question is what was this out of? I didn't know Ford was still making toploaders in the late 70's and I cant remember anything really high performance that it would go in. Any ideas?
