okay.. i basically understand gearing. you know.. 2.89's.. 3.55's blah blah blah... but what is this talk of "posi units" and such?? i am still learning allllll i can about cars, and this is something i'm not sure i get. Thanks..

p.s. i heard any 9inch out of a mid 50's ford will bolt directly onto my 74 4dr.. this true? and how does "nine inch" and "3.55's" coincide. Thank you very much!!
