The 65-66 Mustangs had 9-inch rearends in the Hi-Po models only; I believe that the Fairlane model is the same body as a full-size Ford for the years you mentioned.
: if i am correct the rearend housing in a 1957,58,59 fairlane is the rear of choice. 65,66 mustangs did'nt have a 9". the granada, monarch, and vesillies had a 9" option in disc or drum brakes ( discs on these apps. are expensive to repair and parts are getting harder to find) and will also fit the mav.
