if lightening your car is the goal, use a fiberglass hood, alumnium heads, headers, alumnium raditor, and alum. intake. Heads & hood will be biggest loose. replace the bumpers with earlier ones or fiberglass. Get a set of Draglite, Weld rims, you'll loose about 45 lbs. there. Fiberglass front seats= -35 lbs. Waterpump is only good for about 5lbs.

: Hey I heard someone mention that a Crown Victoria aluminum
: water pump was an alternative to a cast iron water pump.
: Is this true? I'm lightening my '75 as much as
: possible & an aluminum water pump will save at least
: 10 pounds. I've got a '73 302 in the car, manual steering
: & brakes. If a Crown Vic aluminum water pump would work,
: I'll definately go that route, & if so, what years & motors?
: Thanks!
