Crown Vic aluminum water pump?

Hey I heard someone mention that a Crown Victoria aluminum
water pump was an alternative to a cast iron water pump.
Is this true? I'm lightening my '75 as much as
possible & an aluminum water pump will save at least
10 pounds. I've got a '73 302 in the car, manual steering
& brakes. If a Crown Vic aluminum water pump would work,
I'll definately go that route, & if so, what years & motors?
