TUB IT!!! Sorry, for the outburst ;-0> I don't "think" that it can be done on a stock Mav. You may get someone on here who has done it, but I wouldn't want to. I had one heck of a time getting the 14x32's to fit under mine...and I've got it tubbed. I think your biggest problem would be with the diameter of the tire and not necessarily the width. I had to "massage" the length of the wheel openings to get the proper clearance, and they're still ridiculously close.
You will also probably have to cut or bend over the inner lip of the wheel well opening. Maybe not the best news in the world, but at least it's news. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
