Like I said in my earlier posts I'm using a modified Mustang bar so I didn't know about the unusual engine-side bushing. Thanks for correcting my mistake. -CP

: Better check your shop manual on that one. According to mine, the bushing that fits inside of the z-bar on the engine side (and consequently, the bushing which fits over the engine mounted ball stud) is a two piece bushing held together by a special wire clip. I'm building a 4 speed car, and although I haven't tried to put these pieces together yet, I bought (on the advice of Jim Novotny, a Mav man with a stick shift car) the aforementioned clip from my Ford dealer, but had to go to Pirogie Enterprises for the bushing. It's unique to the Maverick, and they sell what I believe is a reproduction bushing to replace it. They have a site at perogie1@aol.com. I hope this information helps. Good luck. John B.
