I'd pull the gas tank and clean it out, flush all the gas lines. You probably have water in there that only comes thru in small amounts. Old gas tamk that has set it's always a good idea.
: I pulled the plugs after I bought the car and they were all uniform, but covered in black carbon deposits. That's why I thought it was the carb running too rich, so I replaced it.
: I haven't driven the car enough to tell if it loses coolant, but with all the idling and running I have done in the driveway, the radiator is still full.
