I pulled the plugs after I bought the car and they were all uniform, but covered in black carbon deposits. That's why I thought it was the carb running too rich, so I replaced it.
I haven't driven the car enough to tell if it loses coolant, but with all the idling and running I have done in the driveway, the radiator is still full.
Same thing with the oil... haven't really run it enough to see, but no obvious leaks anywhere of either coolant or oil.
The miss that I have seems to be at both low and high RPM, but is harder to detect at high RPM.
When I bought the car it had very little gas in it, and I filled it up with clean gas and treated it with STP, hoping that would take care of any water in the tank.
I had hoped to just be able to run this engine while working on the rest of the car, then dump it for a 5.0 crate motor. I've already put more $$$ into the engine than I had wanted to, so I just might park it until I can finance the 5.0 swap. Thanks for all the input... it's truly appreciated.
