Well, since you didn't get any other posts...my recommendation is that you just get a V8! A 302 will fit easily, will be the cheapest engine available to find parts for, and you will most likely (if you aren't racing it) get you better gas mileage than a straight six. If you really don't want a v8, then i would suggest a 170, 200, or 250 straight six (the correct engine for the Comets)--the i4 with a turbo would be nice, as would the v6, but you might have some problems that would require custom engine mounts, custom wiring, etc.
