Like I said they were given to me. And yes the valves almost touch. Next question can I gain anything from using these heads. My Maverick now has the stock 302 heads have been reworked and have been milled and ported some. The motor is built and has 11 1/2 to 1 compression and doomed pistons. Yes I am trying to find a cheaper way to more horsepower without buying a pair of $1000 heads.

Thanks for the info and help

Had someone give me a set of heads for a 302 Ford. Can someone tell me what I have? Was told they were 1969 302 high performance heads they have 2.02/1.60....that least this is want I was told.

: : Inside the valve covers on both sides this is readable:
: : 302 B 1J17

: : On the underside/piston side:
: : 302 69 B D00E

: : On each head outside by the header bolt locations:
: : one has a 10 and the other has a 11

: : Thanks for an

: DOOE indicates 1970, someone has put some chevy valves in them if they are 2.02-1.60, or aftermarket valves whichever the case may be. They probably have screw in studs and maybe guide plates for the push rods. Try to measure the valves with a caliper or even a small ruler if you can. If they check out to what you were told, great. If not use some restraint when you see the gentleman again. Good Luck.
