DOOE indicates 1970, someone has put some chevy valves in them if they are 2.02-1.60, or aftermarket valves whichever the case may be. They probably have screw in studs and maybe guide plates for the push rods. Try to measure the valves with a caliper or even a small ruler if you can. If they check out to what you were told, great. If not use some restraint when you see the gentleman again. Good Luck.
