: : How do you disassemble the cylinder so I can rebuild it? I have a 1970 Maverick trying to put in power steering. But I need to rebuild the cylinder before i put it on my car.

: After having gone to the time, effort and expense of purchasing a rebuild kit THEN finding out I could have bought a rebuilt one for under 90 bucks, I'd recommend just buying one. If you have a Discount Auto Parts store in your area, check with them. Mine was a 74 Comet so it might have been different. The complete rebuild kit was around 45 if I remember but it was a PITA actually doing it.

Thanks alot, it seems that I will have to do that. But another question on the same subject, How do you get the old cylinder off the main bar that it is attached too?? LOL I"ve beaten it to death with the fork tool that is supposed to use but no go, it won't come off. Any suggestions??
