: actually the Hyd Cams need a bigger hole to keep the lifters pumped up. Better way is to use the 4 restrictors for the cam bearings and use pushrods with smaller oil holes to minimize the oil to the rocker arms. The factory pushrod holes are way to big.

: : Hey Ken, does the cat say weather or not that is the one for the hydrolic cam or the mechanical cam. The diff being the size of the hole.
The reason for the restrictor is to keep them from having too much oil remain up top and to prevent the lifters from pumping up too much. The mech cams since they have no pumping action need more oil and therefore need a bigger hole.

That is how they used to prevent the hyd lifters from pumping up too much and floating the valves before they cam up with rhoads type lifters.

: : Hyd cams need a smaller hole than the mech. They used to sell just the right side as a kit about 4 years ago because the right side has the big build up. Any way if it says, let me know.

: : BTW thanks for the nimfo, I mean Info
