it has been said that it was a "jerry rig" because the centerlink has bushings that can wear out.
I waited to rebuke that until I could find somewhat proof.
this is a Mustang front end setup, I think its identical to ours, certain dimensions not withstanding...
anyway, I don't see any moving parts on the centerlink at all, the only way I can see the centerlink wearing out is if a tie rod or idler arm is improperly installed.
